Synopsis:
It's a reality and travel show, centered on the celebration within local culture. The show is also a how-to approach towards media production. This is a 8 episode series of embellished reality. This project will be filmed over an 12 week period. The "Pirate Media" series is being made to encourage people to take advantage of the new media.
We are moving into a paradigm where the common person can produce high quality content with common electronic devices. This is the very thing that will move us from the age of information into the age of communication.
Imagine a road trip, in a VW bus, decked out as a mobile media van. We will celebrate the weird and expose the dastardly, through the eyes of a modern day gypsy/cyber-yogi media eye. Emphasis will be given to open source software, and the copyleft movement. My roommate Aaron is a wizard of Linux, and I study performance and persuasion. The vehicle used will be a 1978 high top Volkswagen bus. It will be painted flat black with sponsorship logos and Pirate media graphics (coming soon to the website). It's time to stand up, and create the future of our information exchange. Buy a copy, I will make it good. You will thrill at the situations we'll get into.
